our vision for the forest products extension program at Virginia Tech is
to increase the living standards of the citizens of the Commonwealth by
improving the competitiveness of the forest products industry. By
providing educational opportunities and resources to the industry,
consumers, and educators, we enable them to better utilize wood products
and help manage our valuable forest resources. Information on the proper
use of wood products is provided to consumers so that they may
understand the proper use of wood materials. Instructional materials are
provided to educators to improve the understanding of wood product use
and sustainability. Our vision is to be a national leader in educational
programming through our continuing education workshops.
