The Wood Enterprise Institute is a student-run entrepreneurial venture managed by students with the support of the Department of Wood Science and Forest Products in the College of Natural Resources. The WEI is introducing a wood product as a "concept-to-market" business project during the inaugural 2008 spring and summer semesters.
While the institute is a student-run enterprise, there must be a partnership between the WEI and the forest products industry to ensure its future success. Industry sponsors are invaluable to the institute through their donations of time and resources, as well as their provision of practical advice.
